Product engineering · Taguig, Philippines

We design, build and run the software your business depends on.

We build web platforms, mobile apps, backend services, cloud infrastructure and AI automation for businesses in the Philippines and abroad. Then we stay on to monitor what we ship, respond to incidents and release changes.

Capabilities

From the public website to the cloud under it.

Each area has a page of its own, with what we deliver and the stack we use.

  • Web platforms

Public sites, portals and admin consoles, built in TypeScript and React.

    • Public websites in several languages, with structured data for search engines
    • Merchant and partner portals with self-serve sign-up
    • Admin consoles with role-based access for staff
  • Mobile apps

iOS and Android apps from one codebase, built with React Native and Expo.

    • Consumer apps for iOS and Android
    • Staff apps for the people who run the business day to day, such as a scanner for redeeming coupons at the counter
    • Maps, QR scanning and live status, where the product needs them
  • Backend, APIs and integrations

The services behind a product: APIs, data, payments and devices.

    • APIs with typed contracts for web and mobile clients
    • PostgreSQL data models, managed with Prisma or Drizzle
    • Payment integrations, including QR Ph payments that customers pay with GCash or Maya, and app store purchases
  • Cloud platforms and DevOps

Cloud infrastructure described in code, with deployments that repeat.

    • Infrastructure as code with Pulumi, changed through review
    • Containers deployed to Google Cloud Run
    • Managed PostgreSQL and Redis, set up with the services that use them
  • Operations and reliability

We stay on after launch to monitor, respond and release.

    • Error monitoring and tracing with Sentry, and uptime checks with Better Stack
    • Runbooks for the systems we operate
    • On-call cover for production incidents
  • AI and automation

Automation for repetitive work, with AI where it saves real time.

    • A review of how your team works, to find the steps worth automating
    • Automations that connect forms, email, databases and messaging
    • AI features built into your product, with logs your team can review

How we work

From first conversation to a system we stay with.

  1. 01

    Discover

We start by learning how your business works and which steps the software has to support. We check those flows before we commit to a plan.

  2. 02

    Design and build

We build in TypeScript, with review and automated checks on every change. Schema changes live in migration files, so every change can be read and repeated.

  3. 03

    Launch

Each release goes to staging before production. For mobile apps, we submit builds through Expo EAS and keep the release steps written down.

  4. 04

    Operate

We stay on after launch. We watch errors and traces, keep a runbook for each system, cover production on call and release changes through the same staged steps.

Engineering standards

How we build and operate what we ship.

The practices we use day to day on production systems.

  • Typed codebases

TypeScript is our default, so many mistakes show up in the editor before they reach a user.

  • Automated checks in CI

Changes go through review and automated checks in GitHub Actions before they ship.

  • Infrastructure as code

Cloud resources are described in code with Pulumi, and changes to them go through review like any other code.

  • Monitoring and tracing

Errors and traces go to Sentry, and uptime checks run in Better Stack, so we can see what failed and where.

  • Documented runbooks

Each system we operate has a written runbook, so the engineer on call knows what to check first.

  • Staged releases

Releases move from development to staging to production, so problems can show up in staging first.
